Despicable Yet Wonderful You

Simple wisdom to inspire  the ORDINARY YOU to do EXTRAORDINARY THINGS in life, just because you can!

16

This blog in essence is about two simple things; 1) An honest realization that we are fully capable of achieving  amazing things in life if we wish, and  2) the need to take the responsibility to make positive changes in ourselves first and show the world how great things can be done by everyone.

Let’s face it. We are no way near perfect.  You do not have a right opinion about everything, know everything that’s there is to know, and do everything that is the best. Did you know that 40% of doctors diagnosis are wrong? It is very rare that a qualified economists’ predictions come true. Or for that matter even an elected leader by a general group of intellects takes a bad decision that has devastating consequences. But with such imperfections we have developed several great things in life. Every great person was just another imperfect individual until they fought their imperfections and obstacles to do great things. And, you are no different.

The treacherous, unexplored areas of the world are not in continents or the seas; they are in the hearts and minds of men. ~ Allen E. Claxton

The key to becoming better lies in the realization that we aren’t perfect and hence we get beat up in life, get worn out, face several troubles, and fail. An honest constructive self-analysis in an effort to identify our reasons for failure will always lead us to several things we can do to change things around in our favour.

But the positive changes happen only when we take honest responsibility and ownership to realize our potential and take action to change ourself and the world around us. Many of us do it almost daily but seldom realize it. We are natural survivors and invariably progress, either by choice or by force. We always thrive. But seldom we realize that we have it in us to thrive and survive. But we fail to apply the positive attitude to succeed in every aspect in life.  For example, we may demonstrate perseverance, will and tireless efforts to fight from one difficult level to another until we finish a game in Xbox, we will fail several times and begin from scratch all over again with a different strategy until we accomplish our success but we seldom take this attitude towards real life troubles and challenges. Similarly, we go through immense trouble to impress and win over someones love, but seldom apply the same passion and vigour to succeed in other things in life.

The greatest crime in the world is not developing your potential. When you do what you do best, you are helping not only yourself, but the world.  ~ Roger Williams

My blog is merely a collection of several positive observations, personal experiences, lessons learned and facts of life that helps understand our individual potential, intellect, and the need to change from wasting our lives doing and behaving in despicable ways to making intelligent choices to become better and achieve greater things in life. In essence, stop being the despicable and become the wonderful that you fully are capable of becoming. And in this effort, I begin with my first post based on my personal experience of discovering the joys of life at the doorstep of death….

The greatest waste in the world is the difference between what we are and what we could become. ~ Ben Herbster
